Editor-in-Chief, Applied Physics Letters
AIP Publishing is seeking the next Editor-in-Chief for Applied Physics Letters (APL).
Candidates should be highly regarded scientists attuned to the expanding and global field of applied physics, and bring a strategic and innovative vision to maintain and build on the prestige and influence of Applied Physics Letters. The successful candidate will prioritize author-centric practices to best serve the needs of a diverse applied physics community, rigorously uphold ethical standards, and position the journal to publish in emerging areas of science. The candidate will possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills and will work collaboratively with a committed editorial team of scientific experts and the Publisher, to translate that strategy into a vibrant editorial program. This is an exciting and challenging position at a time of change in scholarly publications and communication.
There are no geographic limitations to the Editor’s location. The initial appointment is for five years with the possibility of renewal. The successful candidate will be paid an honorarium commensurate with the roles and responsibilities of the position.
The search committee welcomes either applications or nominations of potential candidates. A nomination can be a short note suggesting a suitable candidate. An application should consist of a Curriculum Vitae and a statement of the applicant’s vision and future aspirations for Applied Physics Letters. The statement should be no more than 3 pages and should include a few paragraphs on your leadership experience and scientific accomplishments that make you uniquely qualified for the Editor-in-Chief position.

Editor-in-Chief, Biophysics Reviews
AIP Publishing is seeking the next Editor-in-Chief of Biophysics Reviews (BPR).
Candidates should be highly regarded scientists in the field of biophysics or other relevant research fields including, but not limited to, biomaterials, bioimaging, biosensors or bioelectronics. The successful candidate will have a strong, visible presence in the community and will have a deep understanding about the research developments in biophysics and strong interpersonal skills. They will work collaboratively with a committed editorial team and the Publisher, to translate that strategy into a vibrant editorial program. The successful candidate will prioritize author-centric practices to best serve the needs of a diverse scientific community, rigorously uphold ethical standards, and position the journal to strengthen its coverage on the core biophysics research areas and expand to capture emerging areas.

The candidate will also have a growth mindset, adopting an author-centric view to maintain high journal standards while expanding coverage to capture emerging areas of research.
There are no geographic limitations to the Editor’s location. The initial appointment is for five years with the possibility of renewal. The Editor will be paid an honorarium commensurate with the roles and responsibilities of the position.

Associate Editor, Biophysics Reviews
Biophysics Reviews is seeking a part-time Associate Editor who will be responsible for attracting high-quality content into our journal and liaise with key members of the community the journal is serving. The Associate Editor will work in collaboration with members of our Editorial Team and Editorial Advisory Board Members to ensure the scientific quality of the journal, advise on the journal topical diversification, and commission high-quality review articles.
We encourage active researchers with expertise in biophysics to inquire and apply.
